Olympia Beauty Show Haul

Today I was lucky enough to be able to go to the Olympia Beauty Exhibition. Well, depends which way you look at it, considering the damage to my credit card! If you are a nail polish hoarder or beauty junkie, this place is like heaven! There were so many pretty polish stands, I didn't know where to turn!

Everything was so clean and neat on the Essie and OPI stands, they were both packed with people browsing and grabbing bottles but the crowds and queues weren't as bad as I thought they would be. OPI had the entire Skyfall collection in stock apart from The Man With The Golden Gun which I wanted to badly but the lady said they sold out about 1 hour after the doors opened!

Here's some of the stuff I bought:
Skyfall Collection:. L-R: On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Live And Let Die, Casino Royale, You Only Live Twice.

Some other OPI's I was lemming. L-R: Hot & Spicy, Pirouette My Whistle, You Callin' Me A Lyre?, Don't Pretzel My Buttons, Every Month Is Oktoberfest.

OPI was selling for £5.80. Some of the American girls on Instagram were shocked at this "discounted" price as that is what they would usually pay normal price. However, OPI is very expensive in the UK and there are hardly any sales ever, so this is an awesome price for us.

Color Club In True Fashion and some of the Winter Affair 2012 Collection. L-R: Gift of Sparkle, Winter Affair, Glitter Wonderland, Berry And Bright, Editorial.

Some random China Glaze lemmings (Lubu Heels, Ruby Pumps, I Herd That and the only 2 that caught my eye from the Wicked Halloween 2012 collection - Cast A Spell and Make A Spectacle.

L-R: Throw Me Something Purple Please, Uptown Glamour, That's My Little Secret, BreakAway, Indescribable.
Misa was selling for £2 so I grabbed these. I really like Misa and it's really difficult to get our hands on this brand in the UK!

L-R: Night Sparkle, Hieroglyphys Purple, Stylish Peacock, Lavender, Beaute, Twlight Kiss. Nubar was 6 polishes for £20.

To be completely honest, Cuccio is a brand I have never heard of but they did have a vast array of colours on their stand. I couldn't help getting some of these nudes and pinks. The formulas look very good, we'll see.

Phew! I'd been saving up for a while when I found out I had a ticket to this event! It is well worth saving up for if you stick to a budget throughout the rest of the year! This obviously means I won't be buying anymore polish for a very long time! Pin It

  1. Oh my God! This is porn! Nail-Porn! :D
Can you tell me if ChG Cast A Spell and OPI Live And Let Die are similar? Don't know if I need both...

    1. They aren't as similar as they look in the pictures. I haven't swatched them yet but just looking at the bottles, Cast A Spell is a dark olive green packed with gold micro glitter. Whereas Live And Let Die is a very dark blackened teal creme also with gold micro glitter but less evident than the glitter in Cast A Spell. But unless you are a massive fan of blackened bases packed with gold micro glitter, not sure if you need both :)

    1. No, not at all! Tomorrow should be even quieter! I got there at 11am and it was pretty much straight through the door. The queues to pay weren't even that bad! Selfridges on a Saturday is much worse! Enjoy...can't wait to see what you get!

  8. Great haul. Thanks for sharing the photos with us. You will love, love having Pirouette My Whistle in your stash - it works great for jelly sandwiches. I use that a ton. I am beyond shocked that OPI had the Skyfall collection for sale. It's not supposed to be sold anywhere until Oct 1...they have sent out 7 colors to some bloggers (never more than 3 per blogger) but the rest of the shades have not been seen yet other than on the photos of the OPI nail 'cards.' I am really eager to see your Casino Royale on a swatch. That shade pulls my eyeballs in and I think that is what OPI used under the photos they released for Man With the Golden Gun. CR looks a lot like some older OPI creams I have but also looks close to your Nubar Hieroglyphys Purple...maybe HP is deeper. I have HP and Stylish Peacock (which is on my toes now for Teal Toes (Ovarian Cancer Awareness month of Sept) - thinking I have that entire Nubar collection. That was a good price tag on the Nubars for 6 bottles... And wow...to have access to Misa - I so wish I had somewhere to get that brand. You did great = not sure I would have been able to limit myself to under 40 bottles if I was there with all the eye candy tempting me! I probably would have gotten into a ton more trouble with the old budget if I had been there.

  12. Ahh all the things you got are awesome and CHEAP! Damn the UK for being so expensive huh. I think my sister got tickets to this but I don't think I saw her come back with any nail stuff. I would've loved to go but I read on the site it's only open to trade professionals and such.

    1. I got a ticket from a friend who works in the industry as this show is trade only! You can try registering for a ticket directly on the Olympia Exhibition website, under either "press" or "nail technician".
