Holo Day: Speciallita HITS Dionisio

Today I have swatches of the lovely Dionisio from the Speciallita Hits No Olimpo collection. It's a gorgeous grape purple linear holo. Although I don't find the holo effect of these No Olimpo polishes as evident and strong as the newer Jade Holographics, the holo effect is still very good considering both these pictures are indoors and not in direct sunlight!
The formula is really good as well although since this collection was launched, various companies have ensured that their holo formulas have become better and better. Too bad these polishes have every chemical known in the book and aren't 3-free.

These Speciallita Hits polishes are available through Llarowe for $8 I believe but I got this one in a swap. Pin It

Flakie Flamenco

Earlier this week I was going through my untrieds stash and noticed that I hadn't even swatched this beauty. This is one coat of Hits Speciallita Flamenco from the Mundo De Dancas collection, over a coat of red creme.

Flamenco is a bright red jelly base packed with gold, green and orange flakies. It reminds me of Nfu Oh 59 and Barielle Elle's Spell but brighter. I love flake polishes and don't think I could ever get tired of companies bringing out new flakies. I really enjoyed wearing this colour, it goes well with my skin tone and is also season appropriate. Thank you so much Bia for sending me this :)

Also, why do you think red manicures get the most compliments? I could be wearing the most intricate design and awesome polish on my nails and it doesn't get as many compliments as a basic red manicure!

Thanks for reading :) Pin It

Hits Speciallita Lambada (Mundo De Dancas Collection)

As mesmerising as OPI DS Magic is on the nail, I couldn't leave it alone. Plus, it's another excuse to tick one more bottle off my untrieds box. I was going to stamp some sort of silver pattern over it but felt a little lazy when I got home today so I just added a coat of Hits Speciallita Lambada from the Mundo De Dancas Collection, and I'm so glad I did. This pretty was sent to me by Bia a while ago and I can't believe it's taken me this long to try it.

Lambada is a gorgeous mix of green, pink and golden flakies in a transparent base. You might be able to see blue and reddish-orange on a different base colour. The pictures under my lamp don't even do it justice and I think my camera freaked out at the shine going on in this mani.
What I like about the Hits Mundo De Dancas flakies is that they go on nice and smooth and I don't have to strategically place the polish like I do with Color Club Covered in Diamonds, for instance.

I can see myself layering Lambada over quite a lot of dark polishes in the Autumn/ Winter.

Hits Speciallita - Moonbow from Phenomena Collection

Today I have a very special polish to show you - Moonbow from Hits Speciallita Phenomena collection.

Bia from Nails by Bia sent me the loveliest package in the mail which included Moonbow and Afterglow from the Phenomena collection, some amazing holo and chrome glitters, Cutie Pie from the Mari Moon collection and a couple of flakies from the Mundo De Dancas collection. Can't wait to share all of these with you, thank you so much Bia!

Hits have done it again! I can't get enough of these polishes! Moonbow is the most multichrome of the collection. Depending on the light, it shifts green, gold, purple, blue and magenta. I had a really hard time trying to capture all the colours as it's been very cloudy here recently and the lighting has been constantly terrible, thus the awkward hand positions!

This is 1 coat of Moonbow over black. Two coats would obviously give a stronger effect but the bottle is so little so I don't want it to finish too quickly! The glitter is coarse which I love so it does require a thick top coat.

Here's a bottle shot of Moonbow and Afterglow. Don't they just look yummy?
