Cinderella Cloud

Cinderella by Sinful Colors had been a lemming of mine ever since I saw it on some of the American blogs when it took the nail community by storm a while back. So the last time I was on holiday in the States, I saw it at Walgreens and immediately grabbed it.

All the swatches I ever saw of it I liked but now that I have it in my stash, it's taken me 3 months to even try it.
It's a sheer baby blue with very subtle pink and gold shimmer which isn't as evident as I'd hoped. I didn't think it was actually this sheer so I had to use three thick coats for opacity which took forever to dry! I'll definitely have to wear a baby blue creme base next time.

I wasn't sure what to add to this colour and I didn't feel like stamping today so I went for the cloud on the accent finger again. I regret my colour choices now after looking at the pictures. Probably should have gone for a lighter blue instead of a teal. The base colour on the accent finger is Nails Inc Elizabeth Street.

Purple Clouds

Today I have another cloud mani to show you! It was so much fun doing a pink cloud accent a few weeks ago, that I just had to try a few more colour combos! This time a purple themed one!
One of the main reasons I really like cloud manis (other than looking cute) is because they are good "quick" manis! No lengthy drying times and no fiddling with tape!

For the base colour I used Nails Inc Elizabeth Street, a pinkish nude, China Glaze Senorita Bonita and for the darker cloud I used Mavala Mexico!

Pink Cloud - Better Late Than Never

A while back, the cloud mani was made really popular in the blogosphere by Jane from Nailside. Since then, I've seen these popping up everywhere, even more so on Instagram where some of the girls there created amazing cloud colour combos.

Can you believe this mani was on my list of manis "to try" since November last year and I only just got around to it recently?
I only did a cloud on the accent nail as I wanted a really soft look. Plus, my hand isn't all that steady and I didn't want to mess up on my first try. I got quite a few compliments at work, so I'm definitely attempting the cloud mani again. It's easy and doesn't require long drying time like scotch tape manis do.

The main colour is OPI Pada-monium Pink with Nails Inc Elizabeth Street, OPI Alpine Snow and Primark Bright Pink on the accent nail.
