Autumnal Colours - 2true Fast Dry Shade 12

Autumn is well and truly under way here. We've had strong gusts of wind and it's been raining all day! It gets dark really early as well which I hate! So I chose this shade to wear over the weekend! Wouldn't want to be all bright and perky now would we?!

This is two coats of 2true Fast Dry Colour Quick Shade 12. A greige creme which is actually more true to colour in the second picture, with a hint of brown undertones, my lighting was a bit off.

The formula on this polish wasn't as good as the last 2true polish I showed you here a couple of weeks ago. It becomes goopy very fast and doesn't apply as well. It's supposed to be a fast dry polish but that wasn't really the case.

Autumnal Colours - 2true Glossywear Shade 54

Isn't it really annoying when you come across a shade of polish that you actually really like and they have no name, only a shade number? That's how I feel about 2true Glossywear Shade No. 54, such a perfect Autumn shade with no name!

It's a really pretty deep sapphire blue shade with great opacity (2 coats here). The bottle says "up to 5 day wear" which is very true as it's the fifth day I've been wearing it and there's only minor tip wear on my right thumb. I'm really impressed with this polish - no fuss to apply and it's only £1.99 from Superdrug.

2true Pro - Metallica, Salon Shine & 3D Candy

2true Cosmetics and Make-up have recently launched their new range of nail polish, 2true Pro which has 3 parts to it - Edgy (which are a set of 4 caviar beads), Classic (a set of 5 cremes/ crellies) and Metallica (5 metallic polishes).

Today I'm reviewing a little bit of each collection. First up, the metallics. Although I'm not a massive fan of metallic polishes, the good thing about these is that they are completely opaque in one coat. I couldn't imagine having to apply two or more coats of a metallic polish.

Aphrodite - a medium rose pink - 1 coat

Arete - a light lime green - 1 coat

Athena and Noir beads - a dusty blue and black beads - 1 coat

If you read my blog, you will know that I was never into the caviar/ bead/ sprinkles (whatever you want to call them) craze. It was just one of those trends that I didn't get and didn't appeal to me, plus I even had some trouble applying them. They aren't durable and would annoy me every time one fell. I know you can put a top coat over them but I think that makes them look lumpier and they end up falling off anyway! Great look for a nail photo shoot though!

Next up is a polish from the "Classic" collection - Mila. I have to say that this is my favourite of the bunch! I love this shade of orange as all my other oranges have too much red in them. This one actually looks quite coral'ish in person. It applies beautifully in 2 smooth coats.

2true polishes are available now exclusively at Superdrug stores nationwide. They cost £4 each and the beads cost £3.

From the Vault: Sheer Pink & Black Fishnet Nails

I like to share my successes as well as my disappointments with you - enter the Fishnet mani!
When I saw this on a YouTube tutorial by Glamerous Gabby I thought it was such a good mani (and still do despite the outcome). I loved the whole idea and look.
I did this mani over a month ago and realised the mistakes I made but I didn't discard the pictures because there was something about it that I still really liked. My Fishnet is a little messy but I still love how it looks on the nail:

Pink Wednesday!!! - 2True Rose Pink Swatch & BM03

Happy Wednesday everyone!! For this week's Pink Wednesday I wanted to show you a very light rosy pink with hints of pearl shimmer - 2True Rose Pink.
2True is an affordable British cosmetics brand which have been around since 2006. Their website says that they have also expanded into Holland, Belgium and Ireland which means that all you EU girls can also get your hands on their polish :-).

This polish is really good for the price £1.99 per bottle or 3 for £4.99.
The brush is round with slightly thick bristles which aren't as manageable as I would like but having said that, I didn't really have a problem with controlling and laying down the polish. The formula is slightly on the sheer side so I used 3 coats (but that may be just because this is a rosy shimmery pink).

I then stamped with BM03 and OPI Lincoln Park After Dark as well as adding some french tips for good measure!!

Hope you like it :-)
