I don't usually do many jelly sandwiches, mainly because I wasn't a massive fan of jelly polishes. However, that has recently changed and I'm totally hooked on these. I like the look of suspended glitter and of the depth these create as it makes a change from just having glitter sitting on top of the nail!
I did this blue jelly sandwich a couple of weeks ago when my nails were much shorter. This is Misa Pour Me Something Tall And Strong (3 coats)! I have to be honest here, I only bought this polish because of the name! I think it's so cool :) The glitter is Essence Blair (2 coats).
I have never thought of coating the jelly polishes this way. I have always just set the aside since i didn't know what to do with them :) this is a good idea, Thanks

your sammich is gorge! i used to be a glitter addict but have since OD'd. a sandwich is a nice alternative
Try turning the bottle around and see how it coats the glass. Maybe opening it and seeing how the polish sticks to the brush and the neck of the bottle! It will be quite translucent if it's a jelly.

DeleteBoth because glitter is also suspended in a clear polish! But to create a jelly sandwich, you need a jelly polish otherwise a regular polish will just cover your layer of glitter.

ReplyDeleteIf you have Instagram, my friend just posted a mini tutorial on jellies! It's basically 1 coat of jelly, 1 coat of glitter/ flakie and another coat of jelly! Some people add extra coats of jelly and/ or glitter, depending on how they want it to look! Give it a go! You can't go wrong really :)
