Jewellery Storage Solutions

Today I have a non-nail related post to share with you - jewellery storage ideas.

I'm always looking for ways to organise things at home. We have so much stuff that things can quickly become cluttered. I don't mind organised clutter, although I need to have everything in it's correct place. I don't like things to be stuffed away in boxes where I will totally forget about them. Things don't need to be put away, they can be out, as long as they are nicely stashed and organised! I know, I'm a freak!
I currently have a little wooden box in my wardrobe, but most of the time I don't even bother to rummage through it. It makes it hard to pick what to wear in the morning when I'm half asleep and in a hurry!

I went to Primark yesterday to browse the accessories section and came across this hanging jewellery organiser:

Jewellery boxes are pretty but the large one I like is really expensive! So this cheap plastic hanger made sense! It's double sided so you can fit lots of jewellery into either side and the see-through pockets let you look at everything you have in one go and quickly decide on what to wear with the day's outfit! It's also foldable in case you want to stash it somewhere out of sight and roll it out when needed. I know it's not very pretty to look at compared to a jewellery box but it does the job pretty well.

I'm still having a little problem with my long necklaces though because I like to see them hanging! I was browsing the Internet for DIY/ cheap necklace storage solutions and came across these. What do you think? How cute is this painted tree branch!? I need to go outside and see if I can find myself a nicely shaped branch!

  1. I love the branch idea! In case you'd like to see my DIY jewellery storage, here is an embarrassingly old post I did featuring my necklace board!

I don't mean to seem like a link leaving pest, I never leave my link in comments but just thought I'd share another idea!

  3. @Lauren - I like your black board idea. That way they are spread out, you can easily decide what to wear and they won't get tangled!

@moonchild - me too! Actually I like them all so much 'cos I can make them myself! Maybe I can use an old picture frame and paint it white?!

  4. Very cute! I'm looking for some better storage for my earrings, but for my necklaces I have three nails in the wall on an angle and I just hang the necklaces from them - simple!
